It is Easter Weekend – a wonderful weekend to remember Christ’s victory over the grave – the tomb was empty – Jesus did it for each of us!  Come join us this weekend as we celebrate the victory of our Lord!
There are many things going on at the church this week – Don’t miss out!

WGBC Easter Egg Hunt – Today – Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 a.m. – Rain or Shine!! – It looks like it will be shine!!

We will be holding our Annual WGBC Easter Egg Hunt for all kids ages 2-10 here on the church grounds on 3/31 at 11:00 a.m.
Our pre-registration of children attending the hunt is one of the highest that it has ever been (62) and many years we have additional children that attend without registering ahead of time.  It’s not too late to volunteer to help by providing refreshments or volunteering your time to help with the kids at the hunt.  We are asking our volunteers to be at the church by 10:15 a.m. to help hide eggs and set up the refreshments for the morning.

Easter Sunday Services – Sunday, April 1st at 9:30 & 10:45 a.m.

Please plan on joining us as we remember the Resurrection of our Lord!

WGBC Community Friendship Dinner & a Movie – Saturday, April 7th at 5:00 p.m.

This month’s meal has been changed to a Saturday night due to Easter being on the first Sunday of April.  We will be hosting a special Italian night dinner with baked ziti, lasagna, stuffed shells and other Italian food favorites.  We will be missing a few of our regular volunteers that work at our meals this month.  Won’t you consider joining us?

This month’s meal will be followed by a showing of the acclaimed movie, Risen, at approximately 6:00 p.m. or 6:15 p.m.  This movie details the journey of a Roman centurion, a non-believer of Jesus Christ, who is assigned the task of disproving the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

     1. Go see the movie, I Can Only Imagine, this week which opened in theaters on Friday, March 16th.  The movie is based around MercyMe’s song “I Can Only Imagine” and tells the inspirational story behind the song.  It is an amazing story about forgiveness, hope, and redemption.  It was the #3 movie seen in theaters in the country last week!
     2. Also this week in the theaters is Paul, Apostle of Christ.  Here is a short synopsis of the movie plot:  Risking his life, Luke ventures to Rome to visit Paul — the apostle who’s bound in chains and held captive in Nero’s darkest and bleakest prison cell. Haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds, Paul wonders if he’s been forgotten as he awaits his grisly execution. Before Paul’s death, Luke resolves to write another book that details the birth of what will come to be known as the church.
     3. New This Week – God’s Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness.  Here is a short synopsis of the movie:  A church destroyed. A congregation silenced. A relationship shattered. Yet even in life’s darkest valleys, a small flame can light the way toward healing and hope. After a deadly fire rips through St. James Church, Hadleigh University leaders use the tragedy to push the congregation off campus, forcing the church to defend its rights and bringing together estranged brothers for a reunion that opens old wounds and forces them to address the issues that pulled them apart.
